PRP and PRF for Lips

Get the Perfect Pout

PRP and PRF therapy can be used to enhance the appearance of the lips and improve overall lip health. The treatment involves injecting PRP or PRF into the lips, which stimulates collagen production and plumps up the lips.

Results are typically seen after a few weeks and can last up to a 6 month or more.

PRF Therapy

The Ultimate Companion to PRP Therapy

PRF therapy is a newer form of PRP therapy that is even more effective and longer-lasting. PRF uses a higher concentration of platelets and growth factors to stimulate collagen production and improve skin health. PRF can be used for all the same treatments as PRP, but with even better results.

Botulinum toxin, most commonly known as Botox, is a muscle relaxing neurotoxin. As well as it’s use in aesthetic medicine, it is used to treat various medical conditions such as migraines, excessive sweating, and chronic pain.

Anti-wrinkle treatments work by temporarily blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles, reducing muscle activity and, therefore, wrinkles.

It is injected directly into the muscles, and takes around 2 weeks for the full effect. The effect can then start to wear off at around 6 weeks; lasting approximately 3 months on average.

Anti-wrinkle treatments are one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in the world. There are many benefits of wrinkle reducing treatments, and some of them include:

  • Reduces frown lines, forehead lines, bunny lines & crow’s feet
  • Reduces the appearance of down-turned mouth & gummy smiles
  • Reduces nefertiti lines in the neck
  • It’s non-surgical, so you will be able to return to your routine immediately after the treatment.

Botox, also known as botulinum toxin, is a cosmetic injectable used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. It works by relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles and lines to form.

The most common side effects associated with Botox are mild and temporary. These may include redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising at the injection site. More severe side effects, such as muscle weakness or difficulty breathing, are rare but do require immediate medical attention.

Results typically appear within 3-14 days after treatment and can last up to 4 months. Your Skiin clinician will be able to provide you with more specific information on expected results during your consultation.

Most patients generally return for follow-up treatments every 3-4 months in order to maintain their desired results; however, this can vary depending on your individual needs and expectations from the treatment.

Dermal filler dissolving

Adjustment and/or reversal of dermal and lip filler

Cosmetic treatments such as dermal fillers and lip filler are now a common and popular choice for anti-ageing and cosmetic improvement.

Unfortunately, cases of unsatisfactory treatments carried out elsewhere are also increasingly frequent.

More often than not, it’s a simple case that the client is unhappy with the results and is struggling to get any satisfaction from their provider. In some cases, things are more serious and instances of treatments ‘gone wrong’ do occur.

Most Hyaluronic acid-based fillers, including Juvederm, Restylane, Teosyal, and Revolax tend to break down after time, but sometimes due to inexperienced practitioners or poor quality fillers, you can be left with lumps, migration, or unevenness.

We use a product called hyaluronidase. This is a specially-formulated enzyme which can dissolve the effect of overdone or unwanted hyaluronic acid filler results.

Hyaluronidase is an injectable treatment which targets specific areas. It is a selective and precise treatment.

The hyaluronidase injections start to work almost straightaway to dissolve unwanted fillers. You can expect to see some improvement during the consultation itself. However, it will take 1-2 days to completely break down the old filler. At this point, you’ll just be seeing the original facial contours.

The dermal filler is broken down naturally within the body. It is not physically removed, but will be expelled through normal bodily processes.

Yes, many clients still want to have fillers and there’s no need for a bad experience to put you off. We just advise leaving it a couple of weeks after the reversal.
